1. Introduction

Therapeutic Solutions PC (“we,” “our,” or “the practice”) operates this website at chiropractor-newport-news.com as a public information and marketing presence for our chiropractic office in Newport News, Virginia. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you visit this website, how that information is used, the third-party services we rely on for website measurement and advertising, and the choices available to you.

This policy applies to the website only. It does not govern the in-office handling of patient records, treatment information, billing, insurance, or other protected health information, which may be subject to separate office privacy practices and applicable healthcare laws.

If you have questions about this policy after reading it, you may contact the office using the information at the end of this page.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

This website does not currently include a contact form, patient intake form, appointment-booking form, or other web form. Visitors who wish to reach the office generally do so by calling (757) 873-4131 or visiting the office in person.

When you call the practice or contact us directly, you may voluntarily share information such as your name, phone number, reason for inquiry, and general scheduling preferences. That information is used to respond to your inquiry and, where appropriate, to schedule or coordinate care.

Visitors should not submit detailed medical information, urgent medical concerns, complete health histories, insurance details, or sensitive personal information through general website channels, social media, or unsecured messaging. This website is not a patient portal and is not designed to receive protected health information.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit this website, certain technical and interaction information may be collected automatically through the third-party services described in Section 4. This may include:

  • General device information such as browser type, operating system, screen size, and approximate language settings
  • General location information derived from your IP address (typically at a city or regional level, not a precise address)
  • Pages viewed, time spent on pages, scroll behavior, and how you arrived at the site (for example, from a search engine, a Google ad, or a direct link)
  • Interactions with key elements of the site, such as clicks on the appointment request button, phone number, directions link, or reviews link
  • Limited identifiers used by Google services to measure whether an advertisement led to a meaningful website interaction or phone call

The information collected automatically is used to understand how visitors find and use the website and to measure the performance of online advertising. We do not use this website data to identify individual visitors for clinical decision-making or to add website activity to patient records.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the website
  • Understand which pages, topics, and services are most useful to visitors
  • Measure how visitors arrive at the site, including referrals from search engines and online advertising
  • Measure whether online advertising results in meaningful actions such as appointment requests, phone calls, or directions lookups
  • Respond to inquiries that visitors initiate directly with the office
  • Coordinate appointments and care for individuals who choose to contact the practice

We do not use website analytics or advertising data to make clinical decisions, and website data is not added to patient medical records.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

This website uses cookies, local browser storage, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your consent choices, and measure website usage and advertising performance. The active services are described below.

Consent Preferences (Essential)

When you make a choice in our cookie consent banner, your preference is stored in your browser’s local storage under the key ts_consent_choice. This allows the site to remember your choice between visits and to apply your preferences consistently. This storage is considered essential to the operation of the consent system and is not used for analytics or advertising.

Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager (container ID GTM-WMQXPN62) to load and manage website tags. The data collection associated with those tags depends on the services configured through the container, including Google Analytics and Google Ads.

Google Consent Mode v2

This website uses Google Consent Mode v2. By default, advertising storage, analytics storage, ad user data signals, and ad personalization signals are set to denied until you make a choice in the cookie consent banner. If you accept non-essential cookies, those consent signals are updated accordingly. If you reject non-essential cookies, the default-denied state remains in effect, and Google services receive only limited, privacy-preserving signals as defined by Google Consent Mode.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-9EZNPCHKNS), loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the website. Google Analytics may use cookies and similar identifiers to measure page views, events such as appointment-request clicks, call clicks, directions clicks, and reviews clicks, traffic sources, and aggregated behavior patterns. Google Analytics data retention follows Google’s standard configuration for the property.

Google provides additional information about its analytics services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and offers a browser opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Google Ads Conversion Measurement

We use Google Ads (account ID AW-975322754), loaded through Google Tag Manager, to measure the performance of online advertising. The following Google Ads measurement capabilities are active:

  • Conversion tracking, which measures whether a click on a Google ad resulted in a meaningful website interaction, such as an appointment request or call.
  • Calls from Website conversion tracking and phone call tracking, which measures phone calls placed from this website that originated from a Google ad. This may involve displaying a Google-provided forwarding number in some advertising contexts and recording call-related metadata such as call duration and originating ad. Call tracking may collect call-related metadata such as the time of the call, call duration, caller area code or similar routing information, and whether the call was connected.
  • Conversion Linker, which preserves ad-click information across page navigations so that conversions can be attributed accurately to the originating ad.

Google Ads conversion measurement uses cookies and similar identifiers controlled by Google. Subject to your consent choices and Google Consent Mode settings, Google may use this information to provide conversion reporting and to support ad measurement features available to advertisers.

Based on the current GTM review, we did not identify Google Ads remarketing, Customer Match, or enhanced conversions as active website tags. If those capabilities are added later, this policy should be updated.

Google Fonts

The website loads typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) for consistent typography. Loading fonts from Google may involve Google receiving standard request data, including IP address and browser information, as part of the font delivery process.

Google Maps

The website includes Google Maps embeds and links to display office location and directions. Interacting with the embedded map, or following a link to Google Maps, may result in Google receiving information consistent with Google’s own terms and privacy policy for those services.

Third-Party Privacy Policies

Information collected by Google services is also subject to Google’s own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy, and to Google’s advertising controls, available at adssettings.google.com.

5. Your Choices

Cookie Consent Banner

When you first visit the website, a cookie consent banner is displayed. You may:

  • Accept All, which allows non-essential analytics and advertising cookies in addition to essential consent storage.
  • Reject Non-Essential, which keeps Google Consent Mode in its default-denied state for advertising and analytics storage.

You may revisit your preferences at any time by selecting the Cookie Preferences link in the website footer.

Browser Controls

Most web browsers allow you to view, manage, block, or delete cookies and local storage through browser settings. You may also use private browsing or incognito modes, which generally limit cookie persistence to the current session.

Google Controls

You may manage your Google advertising preferences at adssettings.google.com and opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

6. Information Handling Boundaries

We do not sell patient records, treatment information, or information you share directly with the practice when contacting the office. Some website measurement and advertising tools, including the Google services described in Section 4, may involve sharing limited technical or interaction data with service providers as part of their normal operation.

This website is not a patient portal. It is not designed to receive, store, or transmit protected health information. Visitors should not use general website channels, analytics interactions, advertising interactions, or unsecured communications to submit medical history, symptoms requiring evaluation, prescription information, insurance documentation, or any other sensitive health information.

For information about how protected health information may be used, disclosed, and safeguarded by the practice in connection with in-office care, contact the office directly.

7. Children’s Privacy

This website is intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided information through this website, please contact the office so that the matter can be addressed.

8. Protected Health Information

This Privacy Policy describes the privacy practices of this website. It is not a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, and we do not represent this website as a HIPAA-compliant communications channel.

Patient records, treatment information, billing, insurance handling, and other protected health information generated in connection with in-office care may be governed by separate office privacy practices and applicable federal and state healthcare privacy laws. Patients with questions about how their protected health information is used or disclosed by the practice may contact the office for additional information.

9. Data Retention

Information collected by Google Analytics and Google Ads is retained according to the default retention settings configured for each Google property and account, subject to Google’s own policies. Consent preferences stored in your browser’s local storage remain until you clear your browser data or update your consent choices.

No patient records, treatment notes, or medical information are stored on this website.

10. State Privacy Rights

Privacy rights may vary by jurisdiction. Virginia law may provide certain privacy rights in specific circumstances, though not every statutory privacy right applies to every business, every visitor, or every category of data. Visitors with privacy-related questions may contact the practice using the information below.

11. Third-Party Links

This website may link to or embed content from third parties, including Google Maps, Google Search, and external authority sources cited in informational articles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services. Visitors should review the privacy policies of any third-party services they choose to interact with.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the website, our use of website services, or applicable law. When this policy is updated, the Last Updated date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes that affect how information is collected or used will be reflected in updated language above.

We encourage visitors to review this policy periodically.
